The beaches on Guadeloupes part of Grande-Terre are white and surrounded by
palm trees. On Basse-Terre they are much less visited but darker. The best
beaches on Grande-Terre are the Plage de Caravelle where the Club Med is
located, the Plage des Raisin Clair near St. Francois and the beaches at
Pointe des Chateaux.

The Anse Tarare is a nudist beach. Opposite the village of Gosier you will find
small island of îlet de Gosier where you can be nude. The beaches in the
northern part are also good and more often visited by locals than tourists. On
Basse-Terre the best beaches are the beautiful Grande Anse, the Plage
Caraibe and the Plage de Cluny. Les Saintes, Marie-Galante and La
Desirade have also great beaches and bays which are less visited. The best
beaches on Marie-Galante are the Anse du Vieux-Fort and Anse Canot and
on La Desirade the Grande-Anse and Plage Fanfan.
