Restaurants / Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands have many good restaurants which serve local and international
cuisine. Most have romantic settings like at the harbour, the beach or on the hill.
Expensive: BRANDYWINE BAY is the
best restaurant on Tortola. Great veranda.
CAPTAINS TABLE has lovely marina
views and the BIRAS CREEK HOTEL and
PUSSERS RESTAURANT are the best
(hotel-) restaurants on Virgin Gorda. On
St. Thomas you should try HERVÉ´S
which offers great views and a nice setting
directly in Charlotte Amalie. One of the
best is also the restaurant at the Hotel
1829, very romantic! At the Carambola Re-
sort on St. Croix you may try the FLAM-
BOYANT LOUNGE or the restaurant at the
BUCCANEER HOTEL.
Moderate: You will love the setting
of the JOLLY ROGER INN RESTAU-
RANT on Tortola. SPAGETTI JUNC-
TION serves Italian specialities and
MARIAS BY THE SEA has great
views onto Road Harbour. Also very
recommendable is the restaurant at
the BITTER END YACHT CLUB on
Virgin Gorda. THE ROCK CAFE
serves Italian and tasty local food.
Lively FRENCHTOWN on St. Thomas
has plenty of good bars and restau-
rants. If you like a perfect setting with
views onto the harbour, than you
try the restaurant at the beautiful
MAFOLIE HOTEL.

Very romantic is DUGGANS on Teague
Bay (only on evenings). FORT CHRISTIAN
BREW PUP has its own beer brewery and
tasty dishes, nice setting on the board
walk. One of St. Croix´s best Italian is TUT-
TO BENE (outskirts of Christiansted)

Budget: MRS. SCATLIFFE´S on Tortola
offers original Caribbean dishes, but you will
need a reservation! CHEESEBURGERS IN
PARADISE on St. Croix has huge burgers
at reasonable prices and on weekends live
music as well. Everybody´s favourite is:
JUST-N-CASE at Teague Bay, owned by
James & Lori Case. So fresh and tasty,
great for beach lunch. You will find plenty of
local bars and take-aways on all USVI´s.
