On both islands and specially inTrindiad´s capital Port-of-Spain the choice is excel-
lent. You should also try typical Indian dishes!
Expensive: A very good Indian res-
taurant is APSARA at Queens Park,
which is specialised in Northern In-
dian dishes THE LIGHTHOUSE res-
taurant in Pointe Gourde is set on a
huge lovely veranda under an original
lighthouse at the marina. Great dis-
hes and atmosphere! SOLIMAR in
Port-of-Spain is set in a tropical gar-
den with waterfalls and fountains. The
chef has worked in over 10 different
countries and creates his own style.
Good wine list! If you like Thai food,
than you should go to TANNAK. Patio
and private dining rooms.
The SEA HORSE INN at Great Courtland Bay is a nice restaurant. You dine on a
veranda at the beach and can enjoy nightly entertainment. West Indian and inter-
national cuisine. SHIRVAN WATERMILL RESTAURANT is set at a windmill and
offers seafood.

Moderate: SOONGS GREAT WALL RES-
TAURANT in San Fernando offers Chinese
food. Good rates and ambiance. VALPARK
is the best Chinese in Port-of-Spain and was
etablished 25 years ago. VENIMANGE is a
traditional West Indian home, filled with
plants and local art, presents a friendly and
nice ambiance. The food is superb. The
CREWS  INN HOTEL has a good restaurant
and bar which offers delicious local dishes.

Budget: There are endless small bars, grills
and restaurants which have local food at
reasonable prices. Good for snacks is
ADAM`S BAGELS in Port-of-Spain. Friendly
family business with breakfast and lunch.
Delicious bakery sweets. Try JEMMA`S in
Speyside with lovely views onto the ocean.
