Jamaica has many good restaurants and the Jamaican cuisine is delicious. You can
try the restaurants at the hotels but also go to local bars and restaurants.
Expensive: One of the most romantic
and best restaurants lies at the surroun-
dings of Montego Bay. The restaurant at
RICHMOND-HILL-INN is something for
lovers! Make your reservation at the
early evenings that you can enjoy the
sunset. The BLOOMFIELD GREAT
HOUSE in Mandelville, in the center of
Jamaica, is located in an 200 years old
plantation house. The cuisine is typical
Jamaican and the atmosphere is great!
In Negril try RICK´S CAFE which has
good dishes, nice sea views. The TOWN
HOUSE RESTAURANT in Montego Bay
is set in an elegant building from 1765
and offers fine seafood.
Moderate: Popular is PIER 1 in Montego Bay which arrange live music on fridays.
POINT VILLAGE in Negril is a lovely restaurant with good atmosphere and friendly
service! HUNTRESS MARINA has views onto the harbour of Port Antonio. Nice is
also the MARGUERITE´S in MoBay which is located directly at the water.
Budget: Popular is SMOKEY JOE´S in
Montego Bay and the well-known
THREE SISTERS in Negril. Local dishes
at good rates.
Dont´t be shy - you should try some of
the many local bars, restaurants which
you will find nearly everywhere! At these
places you get a lot for your money.
