The tourist areas of the island lies on the north coast, starting
in Negril in the far west via Montego Bay and Ochos Rios till
Port Antonio. Jamaica is a safe vacation destination, however
you should be carefully in Kingstown, especially in the night
time. Jamaica offers accommodation for every budget and
taste, starting from small inns to hotels of all categories and
from all inclusive resorts to luxury villas with pool and maid-
service.

It is recommendable to start your round-trip from Negril which
is easy to reach from the US. If you travel further to the east
you will reach Montego Bay, which is also known as MoBay.
Montego Bay is the second biggest city and is famous for its
great sand beaches. Nearby is the historic Rose Hall Great
House which was built in 1765. It´s counted among the most
beautiful architectural heritages in the whole Caribbean and
serves today as a luxurious hotel with 18 hole golf course.
Not far away from Runaway Bay you will find Bob Marley's
Mausoleum. Ochos Rios is another popular tourist place and
some cruise ships stop here every day. The pretty Dunn´s Ri-
ver Falls, Jamaicas famous and frequent visited tourist spot,
lies not very far from Ochos Rios and you should visit it as
well. There are some waterfalls and at the cascades you can
take a refreshing bath.

When you arrive at Port Antonio you will realize how beautiful
this place is. From Fort George you will have lovely views of
the city. In the city itself you still find some typical colonial
buildings. From here onward a side-trip to the Blue Moun-
tains National Park is recommendable. At the end of your
round-trip through Jamaica you should travel by boat on the
Rio Grande, which is a true unforgettable experience!
