On St. Thomas the highlight is the CARNIVAL which starts in April and
last for two weeks. At this time you will see parades and nearly every-
body is out on the streets. It is the second biggest in the Caribbean
after Trinidad´s Carnival.

Other popular festivals are the colourful COLUMBUS DAY in October
and the INDEPENDENCE DAY in July.
