Entry permit:
US, Canadian and EC citizens need a passport which has to be valid for at
least 6 month, a tourist card which you should get at the consulate and a
return ticket. All others should contact the embassy before departure.

International arrival e.g.:
From USA: With AMERICAN AIRLINES and CONTINENTAL. From Europe:
BA / UK, MARTINAIR / Netherlands and many other european destinations.

Arrival within the Caribbean e.g.:
Santo Domingo is well served from Puerto Rico and other islands (see
Caribbean Airlines)

Climate:
There is a nice steady temperature of around 28 ° C.

Electricity:
110 Volt.

Language:
Spanish is the official language. In tourist areas English is also spoken.

Currency:
The official currency is the Pesos. We recommend to take Traveller´s
Cheques in US $. Credit Cards are sometimes accepted.
